One of the nation’s most popular brands has issued an urgent recall on over 50,000 vehicles in the United States, and this recall isn’t one to take lightly.
On March 28, Volkswagen issued a nation-wide recall on many of their makes and models because “the rear coil springs can break without warning and cause people to lose control of their vehicles.”
If one of the springs breaks, this could not only cause you to lose complete control of your car and put you in jeopardy, but it would also pose hazards to all the surrounding drivers as well.
According to reports, the issue was discovered when manufacturers made the startling realization that the parts maker used the wrong materials for making the springs, making them more susceptible to coming apart.
The recall spans on models made from 2015 to 2019. The ones that are currently being recalled are:
2015-2019 Gold hatchbacks
2017-2019 Gold Sportwagen
2019 Jetta sedan
2018 and 2019 Tiguan SUV
If you or someone you know has one of the vehicles mentioned above, you are urged to follow up on the recall.
Make sure that you and your loved ones are safely out of harm’s way and get your vehicle back in proper working order sooner than later!
