War Veteran Had To Leave Dogs When He Moved, Months Later He Is Brought To Tears When He Sees Them Waiting At A Park
There are few things in life that are stronger than the bond between a dog and their loving human companion. Dogs have the unique ability to love people without reservation and people are all too eager to accept that love. The amazing thing about dogs is that they desire love just as much as their human counterparts do. In a way, dogs and humans complete one another.
That was certainly the case with a man named Joshua and his two dogs, Panda and Mama. Joshua was a war veteran who served in Afghanistan. Joshua had experienced many things while over seas, some of which kept him up at night and made it difficult for him to transition into normal society. Joshua hated the feeling of isolation but that is when Panda and Mama stepped into his life.
From the moment the two dogs entered his life, Joshua became a new person. There were nights that Joshua was so afraid to even leave his room, but when he opened his door, there were Panda and Mama looking at him. They were there to reassure him that he was loved and safe.
Joshua and his dogs were inseparable, even going as far as to sleep in the same bed every single night. Joshua felt like a normal person once again and for the first time in a long time, he felt complete. Therefore, it was heartbreaking for Joshua and his dogs when he was obligated to move from Louisiana to California. Joshua couldn't take Panda and Mama with him so he was forced to leave them as he moved across the country.
Joshua was, once again, incomplete without his best friends and he was determined to get his dogs to California any way he could. He got in contact with an animal rescue service in California and explained his situation. The workers were moved by Joshua's story and let him know they would do everything they could to get Panda and Mama to California. After a lot of time and effort, the team succeeded and Panda and Mama were flown across the country to be reunited with their dad.
The dogs had not been eating much since their separation from Joshua and the rescue team noticed how sad the two pups were. The dogs did not have much energy or interest in playing. Mariah, one of the team members, volunteered to reunite the dogs with Joshua. She hoped that when they saw him, Panda and Mama would find their happiness again. Mariah agreed to meet Joshua at a local park and loaded up the dogs for the reunion.
Mariah arrived first and, within moments, Joshua pulled up. Panda's and Mama's tails started to wag as they realized that their dad had come to get them. For the first time in two months, the three friends were back together again. Mariah couldn't hold back her tears as the dog jumped on Joshua and licked him all over. Joshua couldn't find the words for how happy and thankful he was. He gave the dogs some food which, for the first time in a long time, they ate all of. Joshua, Panda, and Mama were complete once again and nothing could tear them apart. Watch the video below to see the amazing and emotional reunion!
