During the frigid winter months, your world turns into a sparkling winter wonderland. As far as your eye can see is blanketed with bright, white snow. You try to take in your beautiful surroundings, for you know that it will be just a few short months until it’s back to normal and all the snow disappears until the next year.

After the snow has stuck around for awhile, it starts to wear out its welcome. The beauty gradually fades and inconvenience takes its place. You start to notice the obnoxious things that come alongside the blustery cold.

One of the biggest nuisances is frosted car windshields. It’s an annoying chore each and every morning to try and get all the heavy frost off of your windshield before you can go on your way. You don’t always have a lot of extra time to spend on this but you know it’s necessary for adequate visibility.

There are a couple of ways to get rid of the frost. The first way is by warming your car for an extended period of time and using the defroster. This method is sometimes less than convenient because that can end up wasting quite a bit of gasoline.

A second option is to use a good old-fashioned ice scraper. This also takes time and can be a bit exhausting to scrape off the entire windshield.

Thankfully, there is one other option you might not know about. Meteorologist Ken Weathers has a secret solution that will have you up and on your way in no time at all! Grab a spray bottle and fill it with 1 part room temperature water (never use hot because it can crack the windshield!), and 2 parts Isopropyl or Rubbing Alcohol.

Spray the mixture all over your windshield and, within a matter of seconds, the frost vanishes. This changes the game for winter weather! Check out the video, below, to see just how it works.
