When A Passing Samaritan Spotted A Husky In A Phoenix Canal During Monsoon Season, She Knew The Poor Pup Was In Serious Danger

February 21, 2018

When a passing Samaritan spotted a lonely husky inside of a Phoenix canal, she knew just how much danger the dog was in. It was the tail end of monsoon season, and if a storm came in and brought inches of rain, the canal would quickly fill up storm waters and the dog could potentially die.

Animal control raced to the scene when they heard about the dog, and began the process of rescuing the pooch. The officer couldn’t go down into the canal himself, leaving them with just one option. They were forced to loop a snare around the dog and pull him out of the canal and into safety.

Once making sure that the dog was safe and sound, they were able to quickly locate his owners. The dog was able to get the veterinary care it needed after spending who knows how long trapped in what could have easily been a deadly situation. Everything worked out for the best though, all thanks to one passing Samaritan.
