New York City is a huge metropolis with over 8.5 million people living in the crowded place. With so many people, it’s sometimes hard to remember why the city is so beloved by many. In the summers, the heat gets trapped down in the city, and with the trash sitting out on the sidewalks, it can create a potent mix. In the winter, the snow turns into black sludge on the road, and tempers flare.
Instagram photographer, Golden2dew, still manages to find the beauty in the city, and her photographs will open your eyes. Her stunning photos capture the magic of the city that so many of us have forgotten exists, because of all the bad that comes with it. If you remember to open your eyes, beauty can be found all around you.
Sadly, in today’s world we’ve learned to close our eyes to the beauty and to focus on the negative. If we take the lesson that Golden2dew is trying to teach, we may just remember how to find the good in the world. While New York City may be cold and gray in the winter, the city comes to life when the gorgeous holiday decorations come out and the Christmas Tree is decorated and lit. In the summer, central park is full of families and people out enjoying the warm weather, and the park is beautiful. While it’s easy to forget that, maybe it’s time we try to remember.
