Shock Announcement Captured On ‘The View’ Leaves Entire Cast In Tears After Whoopi Goldberg’s Devastating Fatal Sickness

March 14, 2019

The View fans were hit with a total shock on Thursday, March 14th, and it’s all anyone can talk about.

In early March, one of the show’s stars, Whoopi Goldberg, shared some difficult news with her fans. After being away from the show for more than a month, Whoopi revealed that she was very ill with pneumonia. She announced, “I am here. I am up and moving around — not as fast as I’d like to be, but I am okay. I’m not dead. Here’s what happened…”

The star than began sharing the severity of her sickness, saying, “Yes, I came very close to leaving the earth. Good news, I didn’t. Thank you for all of your good wishes, all of the wonderful things that people have been saying. Even people who aren’t huge fans of mine have actually been saying nice thing about me.”

Whoopi continued talking directly to her crew of ladies that she works with everyday saying, “Ladies, I cannot wait to see y’all. This has been interesting and I’ll tell you about it when we’re all at the table. To everybody, see you soon.”

The View cast, crew, and fans were hoping and praying for a quick recovery. But on March 14th, just a week after Whoopi’s announcement, they were met with a massive shock.

During the live showing, co-host, Joy Behar, began speaking about her beloved friend. She said, “Whoopi is still on the mend- we’re hoping she’ll be back here soon. Maybe next week- we’ll see. Hurry back, Whoopi and get well!” But just as she began saying that, the audience began screaming. The hosts looked at each other baffled at the response. That is, until they realized why they were screaming…

Whoopi had snuck onto the set and surprised her co-hosts and the audience!

The star walked out to a hysterical audience as all of her cast mates rushed towards her crying! It was a beautiful reunion as Whoopi appeared well enough to remain on the show for the following segment. The star ensured her cast and audience that her surprise outing was her first full day out of the house. She went on to say that she wasn’t “there yet” but that she was on the mend!

We are so happy to see Whoopi again and we hope that she makes a quick recovery! Pray for Whoopi!
