When it comes to fatherhood, it seems as though Prince William has got it down pat.
To be truthful, it comes as no surprise since he’s been in the parenting game for five years now. His three little ones, George, Charlotte, and Louis, all seem to adore and respect him tremendously.
While his children haven’t seen a great deal of the spotlight in the media, it’s all for a good reason. Per the Queen’s request (and likely the preference of William and Kate as well), it is not recommended for them to be strolled out and about in the public on a regular basis.
Many assume this rule came into play shortly after the death of Princess Diana where the Queen witnessed firsthand how much the media preyed upon William and Harry. She didn’t want the same outcome for her great-grandchildren.
Thankfully, we do still get the occasional peek at the little ones and it’s such a shock to see how much they’ve all grown! Recently, William took the opportunity to bring the children to the Chelsea Flower Show to see Kate’s garden display.
Just as many would have assumed, the kids loved every second of it. It was apparent just how proud they were of their mother’s hard work and all of the creative touches she added.
During the exploration of the gardens, William and Charlotte had a moment that has now taken the internet by storm, melting even the hardest of hearts.
While playing, William called out to Charlotte. The name he called her is what drew the most attention. It’s a new nickname we’ve yet to ever hear him say, and it’s just as sweet as it can be.
William hopped onto the rope swing in the garden and called out to Charlotte, “Mignonette!” to which she chipperly replied, “Yeah?” He then said, “Give me a push.”
The precious term of endearment, mignonette, is said to mean the same as dainty, darling, cutie, or sweetie. Aww!
It’s so fun when we get a little glimpse into the smallest details of their lives. While they do live a very public life, their private moments are often the most sacred.
What do you think about this name?
