With A Few Marbles And Magnets, Artist Creates A Video Perfectly Timed To Classical Music

January 19, 2018

YouTuber DoodleChaos is known for his wonderfully imaginative videos. He is amazing at creating moving works of art that he can perfectly match up to classical music. In the past, he’s done such works as pairing the basic video game, "Line Rider," to the classical song “In The Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg.

In his new piece of work, he uses dominoes, Jenga pieces, marbles, and magnets to create a moving visual that he paired to Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers.” The little metal marbles roll along a carefully designed course, crashing into magnets and dominoes as they go along. It’s very carefully designed, and the timing has to be just right.

You can tell that DoodleChaos spent hours, if not weeks, creating this course. Moments of high tension bring about small jumps with little hand-drawn danger signs. When the music picks up and you feel like twirling, the balls crash into magnetic circles and spin around. It’s truly a magical video and sure to bring a smile to the face of anyone who sees it.
