I am in complete shock that the Christmas season is nearing. The older I get, the faster the years seem to pass. If I don't get a big head start on my Christmas prepping, I'll find myself drastically behind. The moment a crisp breeze begins to blow, I try to begin my holiday preparations.

When I came across this fun and festive DIY, I knew I had to add it to my holiday prep. For under $5, you can create beautiful little angels for accenting your front door. It's simple enough that you can enlist the help of the little hands in the house and make it a family craft night!

To make these deco mesh angels, you'll need some ribbon, a hot glue gun, pipe cleaners, deco mesh, a ruler, and ornaments. Cut twelve 12-inch pieces of deco mesh. Have a weighted object to keep your stack of deco mesh from curling up on itself.

Grab opposing corners of the deco mesh and pull taut. Hold in the center and continue to pull each end to elongate the piece. Continue to do this step with each piece of deco mesh.

Once all of your mesh is pulled, take one pipe cleaner and wrap tightly around the center of the bunch. Twist the pipe cleaner a couple of times to make sure it doesn't loosen.

Separate the pieces of pulled pipe cleaner to create a bottom to your angel (six pieces of mesh). Grab the bottom pieces of mesh and wrap another pipe cleaner around tightly. This step creates the angel's dress. Cut off the excess pieces of this pipe cleaner.
