As his wife, Kate, carries on with her six-month maternity leave after the April 23rd birth of Prince Louis, Prince William continues his solo journey throughout the Commonwealth, performing his duties and obligations as the Duke of Cambridge. He is charming his way throughout Britain, even without the enchanting Duchess by his side.
It’s clear that William misses his family when on the road, and some of his comments along the way have proved that fact. In a recent appearance to present British author Lady Antonia Fraser with a prestigious Order of the Companion Award, the Duke of Cambridge let slip a previously-unknown family fact, and now it's all anyone can talk about.
After her meeting with the Duke, Lady Fraser opened up about a secret that William had revealed in the course of their private chat at the event.
While conversing with Lady Fraser about her background and interest in History, he let it slip that his two older children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3, are avid ‘bookworms’ and he and Kate are quite proud of the fact.
Lady Fraser added, “And he said his own children are always reading books. He was very sweet and charming, as a father."
In addition to spilling family secrets, Prince William had a little anecdote to add to the mix, joking that “his father Prince Charles used to scold him for not reading enough history.” It's clear that he and Kate have the same parenting goals as his father - at least in the reading department!
In Prince Williams candid statement, we learn something that we never knew before, and we couldn't be more delighted! All this time we pictured Princess Charlotte as being all fun and mischief, with a little dancing on the side (which dad William previously revealed).
It's nice to know that the little princess is becoming a very well-rounded young lady, and we can't wait to hear more of her sweet 'secrets.'
