I’ve often seen elaborate ornament wreaths, hanging prominently, in various home goods stores. You know the ones I’m talking about. The moment you walk through the doors your eyes are immediately drawn to the beautiful piece hanging on the wall. You instantly make up your mind to leave the store ONLY if that wreath accompanies you so, you take it down ever so carefully. When you inspect the price tag, your stomach drops. It’s far more expensive than you imagined! You carefully return it to its place of honor, and slowly walk away with your head hung in shame.

What if I told you I came across an insanely simple DIY that allows you to make your own ornament wreath for a very low cost? It’s true! With just a few supplies and a little bit of time, you’ll have a customized ornament wreath that will make your house the star of the neighborhood.

For this craft, you’ll need two pool noodles, a hot glue gun, duct tape, loads of ornaments, artificial greenery, and battery powered lights. First, take your two pool noodles and tape two ends together with a liberal amount of duct tape. Shape the noodles into the desired size and cut off the excess noodle. Tape the remaining two sides together.

Hot glue your ornaments around the perimeter of the noodle. Be sure to vary the ornament styles and shapes to create a more interesting design. Hot glue more ornaments around the center perimeter of the noodle. Once the inner and outer perimeters are filled, use the remaining ornaments to cover the rest of the noodle.

Be sure to pile on the ornaments strategically so none of the pool noodle is visible. Fill any remaining cracks with dried greenery. Take your battery-powered strand of lights and wrap them around the wreath. Hang your masterpiece on the wall or front door, and enjoy your beautiful handiwork!
