There is something about a family dog that just cannot be replaced. My dog, named Apollo, was a member of the family as soon as we brought him home. If no one could come out to play, I had Apollo to play with. If I was sick, I had Apollo to keep me company. I had a lot to be thankful for in Apollo. The family in this story felt the same way about their dog for a very different reason.
When Nola and Richard Davis arrived at their home one afternoon, they had a very special surprise for their kids, hiding in the back of their car. When they opened the car door, out came their new family dog named Patch. The kids were ecstatic at the sight of their new family member and Patch felt right at home. The family quickly learned that Patch hated bath time, however. Patch would stay as far away from the bathroom as possible because he knew that was where he would be forced to bathe.
Nola also noticed that Patch was getting much bigger than they anticipated. The family debated on getting rid of Patch because of his size, but Andrew, the oldest child, convinced the family to think about it a few more days at least. It was a good thing the family kept Patch around a bit longer because things were about to take a crazy turn. CLICK "NEXT PAGE" TO READ THE REST OF THE STORY... [VIDEO]
