Time seems to go by so much faster than it used to. It is as if we are constantly running from one task to another, barely having a moment to catch our breath. When this is your new normal, you find it increasingly difficult to have a set routine, much less have all your meals perfectly planned for your family.
This is when your slow cooker will become your very best friend. It takes minimal meal planning and even less effort to create mouthwatering dishes for your family. If you find yourself searching for a quick, easy, delicious, and affordable dinner, look no further! This recipe will make a ton of portions and will keep your family full and satisfied. The best part? You need only four ingredients!
To make this meal, you’ll need 1 (3-4 lb.) chuck roast, 1 package dry ranch mix, 2 packages dry brown gravy mix, 1 (1 liter) jar of garlic dill pickles. Place your roast in the slow cooker. Sprinkle all three dry mixes atop the roast. Pour the entire jar of pickles (juice and all) over the roast. Place on lid and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours. Reserve the gravy to serve atop roast. Whip up a quick batch of mashed potatoes and a salad to create a full meal.
How simple is that? I know my family would devour this in minutes! Check out the video, below, to see how to make this scrumptious roast.
