We all know that in times of trouble and grief, friendship is essential to help us get through it. A friend is there to give us a shoulder to cry on and to help us look at the brighter side of things. Brody, an orphaned calf, understands the importance of friendship and how life-changing it can be.
Brody's mother had died giving birth to him, so the tiny calf was taken to a shelter with his rescuers at Hooves and Paws. The rescue team hand-reared Brody, but the calf was still very sad. Brody was lonely, and in need of animal companionship, so his rescuers decided to introduce him to a friendly goat that they were also taking care of. The bond between the two animals was instant and unbreakable.
Two years later, thanks to the beautiful friendship between calf and goat, Brody is flourishing and, quite literally, leaping for joy. Brody is the first one to welcome any orphaned animals into the fold at Hooves and Paws. Brody is the kind of friend to the new orphans that his goat companion has been to him over the years. Brody shows us that life is so much better with a loving friend by our side! Watch the video, below, to see Brody and his friends for yourself.
