The bond between dog and human is something so unexplainable. It seems as though they come to us in the time we need them the most.
In this video, that very thing happened.
Meet Danny, a five-year-old boy, who has always suffered from developmental disabilities. After he was born, the pediatrician initially thought that Danny had cerebral palsy. They couldn't quite seem to pinpoint the root of his problems and did everything they could to make life easier for him.
Danny and his two siblings were adopted by Edward and Dixie. They try to give their children everything they want, except a dog. Little did they know, a dog across the street, would soon find them.
What mysterious thing attracted Saki to Danny, we will never know, but the bond has been unbelievably transformative.
Instantaneously, Danny became almost a different person. The family was completely shocked at how much Danny came out of his shell and how he began to grow developmentally.
"I...I...I...am Saki's dad," Danny said.
His parents were in tears at this statement because until this point, Danny was unable to fully form sentences. He would speak in fragmented sentences. After that, Danny's speech drastically improved.
Danny also had not been able to grasp the concept of potty training until this point. Somehow, having Saki helped him grasp it as well and was quickly potty trained.
Who would have ever thought that bringing a dog around could bring such an amazing change to this special little boy? Never in their lives could they have dreamed that Saki could effect Danny in such a positive light.
They knew that Saki had to become a part of the family immediately.
"Saki made it possible for Danny to recognize his meaning," his mother said.
