In my opinion, there is nothing more delicious than a large brunch spread. You have everything from sweet to savory, crunchy to soft. There's a satisfying dish for each and every person you're serving.
Who knew that ham and cheese hash browns could become the best waffles you've ever put in your mouth?! You'll love using your waffle iron for this recipe. It's the perfect dish for times when you have a few folks over for breakfast or brunch.
They're so delicious and make even better leftovers! Just reheat in the oven for a tasty second-day dish. It's seriously too easy to make this yummy meal. After taking one bite, you'll be questioning why it took you so long to try it out!
1 (20 oz.) package of refrigerated hash brown potatoes
8 oz. black forest ham, diced
1 1/2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
3 large eggs, beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. fresh parsley leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the top and bottom of the iron or coat with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, combine hash browns, ham, cheese, eggs, garlic, parsley, thyme, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Pour a scant 1/2 cup of the potato mixture into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
