You would be hard-pressed to find someone who would disagree that few things in this world are as strong as a mother's love for her children. Regardless if it is an animal or human, mothers of all kinds share the same deep bonds with their young.
Cows are surely no exception to this rule.
At dairy farms, the calves are soon separated from their mothers at a young age so they will not affect their mother's milk production in a negative way.This causes the cows to have overwhelming and heartbreaking anxiety and depression - and for good reason. No mother wants their baby to be taken from them against their will.
At an animal sanctuary called Edgar's Mission, a cow named Clarabelle arrived. She was heavily pregnant and soon gave birth to a baby calf named Valentine.
Immediately after giving birth, her behavior towards the farm staff changed drastically. She began avoiding them at all costs in fear that they would soon rob her of her offspring.
