When Jonny was born, his parents thought he would grow up just like their other son had; happy and healthy. 

Months later, however, little Jonny was diagnosed with Autism. 

The following months and years presented many trials for Jonny and his family! 

For years Jonny would struggle with learning simple tasks; he barely spoke or interacted with anyone. Even touching food would upset him. 

Not far away Xena, a pit bull puppy, was also dealt a rough start in life. 

Abused and malnourished the veterinarians gave Xena a 1% chance of survival!

 

But, despite the odds, Xena survived with no complications from her harsh beginnings, and soon she was adopted by Jonny and his family! 

From the first car ride home, Jonny and Xena formed a unique and loving bond that made them virtually inseparable! 

Because of the love between the two friends, Jonny began to thrive despite his diagnosis! 

Jonny is now speaking non stop, helping feed Xena and the family's other dogs, and living a life that his parents thought he would never be able to live! 

I guess you could say that Jonny and Xena were made for each other!
