Meet Goliath, he may look like a cow, but little Goliath seems convinced he is actually a dog. He lives like a Great Dane because his best friend is one. 17-year-old, Shaylee Hubbs came across this very thin and extremely sick little guy when he was only a day old. The newborn was hardly strong enough to suck on a milk bottle, so Hubbs took him home and put him into the care of the family's vet.
Goliath was a "drop calf" from a dairy farm. “Drop calf” is the industry term for baby cows who are taken from their mothers to be sold for slaughter. To a dairy farmer, a baby cow is competition for his mother's milk and therefore an unnecessary cost.
So all he needed was for someone to find him necessary, and that's where Hubbs came into play. She took the newborn calf in as a pet and that's when he became friends with her Great Dane, and the rest is history.
