Much to their great surprise, this hen was sitting atop a litter of KITTENS! They couldn't believe their eyes at the sight! Apparently, a mama cat unknowingly had given birth to a litter of teeny kittens in the hen's nest.
Despite what you would assume, she didn't try to root them out of her home. She welcomed them openly and sat on them to keep them warm.

Isn't that precious? This just goes to show you that a mother's work is never done and a motherly instinct is stronger than we could have ever imagined.
