It had been a beautiful ceremony for Brittany and Clayton Cook. In it they had exchanged vows, rings, and undying love for each other, promising to spend the rest of their lives together while loving each other through sickness and in health. With the ceremony finished, all they had left to do was pose for a few more pictures, and then the celebration could continue.
The photographer decided to take the newlyweds to a nearby river at a busy local park, so he could finish taking the last remaining bride and groom portraits. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and the park was full of children who were running, playing, and laughing. Standing beside the river, Clayton suddenly noticed something in the water. It was a little boy in a complete panic with his face submerged; he was unable to resurface. No one else seemed to be aware of the tragic situation unfolding right before the groom's eyes. Reacting quickly, Clayton dashed over to the water’s edge and jumped in, grabbing the drowning child by the arm. He thrust the distressed boy out of the water, heroically saving the drowning child.
The groom, drenched from the waist down, had saved the day and was more than happy to reunite the child with his older sibling. It was a “happily ever after” ending for the day and the start of a beautiful life together! Watch the full interview along with a few images captured by their wedding photographer!
