When you look back at antique items, it's astonishing to see just how far we've come with technology over the years. Everything that we have now is geared around working quickly and being simple to use.
With a significant change, sometimes beauty is placed on the backburner. The attention is focused more on the speed and user-friendly qualities than the detail to design as it was back years ago.
The items pictured is a great example of this. This particular item was found in nearly every household. Kids today wouldn't have the slightest clue as to what it is!

It was made incredibly durable and has withstood the test of time over the years. To this day, you might know a person or two that has one of these sewing machines on display in their home.
It wasn't just the frame alone that was visually appealing - the machine itself also had so much detail and character! They have changed a great deal over time and the new age sewing machines look nothing like these.
