EuroCan Manufacturing is recalling Lot Number 84 of its individually shrink-wrapped, 6-pack, 12-pack, and 25-pack bags of Barnsdale Farms®, HoundsTooth® and Mac's Choice® Pig Ears after recent testing revealed possible salmonella contamination.
Salmonella can affect the pets that consume these products and it presents a risk for humans that handle these contaminated products as well.
Pets with salmonella infections will exhibit the following behaviors: lethargy, diarrhea (possibly bloody), fever, vomiting, decreased appetite, and abdominal pain.
If your pet has consumed this recalled product and has any of these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately.
These pig ears were distributed throughout the US and Canada.
