Contrary to what we've been told, you don't need to eat 6 small meals a day and breakfast is NOT always the most important meal of the day. This new craze that has hit the fitness world by storm is called intermittent fasting or IF. Now, you're probably wondering what intermittent fasting is? Well, I am happy to say it is not a diet, but it is a tool to mix in with your dieting. Simply, you fast for a certain period throughout your day and then you eat only within a certain period in your day. The most important thing is you are in a fasted state longer than you are in a feeding state. The most popular IF is where you eat for 8 hours of your day and you fast for 16 hours of your day, and the good news is half of those you are asleep.
Diets are easy in the contemplation, difficult in the execution. Intermittent fasting is just the opposite — it’s difficult in the contemplation but easy in the execution. Check out this video on Intermittent Fasting:
