See The Amazing Transformation That Saved The Life Of This Yorkie. Watch The Massive Amounts Of Tangle Hair Come Off To Reveal This Beautiful Dog

December 05, 2017

If you have a dog, then you know how much love you have for that dog. You would do anything to keep him or her safe from hard times. We treat our dogs like our children, and there is no height or depth we would not go for them.

But, that is not how all humans view these precious animals. They are not considered ‘Man’s Best Friend,' but rather a means to an end, trying to make a profit off of them no matter what it costs the pups. That is what happened to the Yorkie who was rescued from a puppy mill. Her entire life was to breed and make puppies so her "owner" could profit off of her suffering.

That is, however, until the day she was rescued. As you can imagine, she was terrified. The only human touch she had known had taught her that she was not worth loving, but only worth work. She had to live her days locked in a cage and never seeing the light of day. She was matted and tangled from head to toe but, underneath it all, there was a beautiful pup about to be given a new life.

“A puppy mill, sometimes known as a puppy farm, is a commercial dog breeding facility.” - Wikipedia.
According to the Humane Society, there are an estimated 10,000 licensed and unlicensed puppy mills in the United States, selling more than 2,000,000 puppies, annually. Although no standardized legal definition for "puppy mill" exists, a definition was established in Avenson v. Zegart in 1984 as "a dog breeding operation in which the health of the dogs is disregarded in order to maintain a low overhead and maximize profits."

The ASPCA uses a similar definition: "a large-scale commercial dog breeding operation where profit is given priority over the well-being of the dogs." Commercial kennels may be licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture, and state and local jurisdictions, which may inspect the kennels routinely.

ack to our story. This sweet mama got a good wash and makeover. She looks completely different now because of the hard work of the rescue team. She is now a beautiful pup who is deserving of a loving, forever home. She deserves a life win which she can relax, be loved, and just be a dog.

Check out all the hair that was shaved off of this mama, in the video, below.
