In life, we all have our share of difficulties, and how we rise above them tells the world who we are as a person. The rest of us can only hope to face our own difficulties with as much grace as this kitty does. One plucky little feline was born with a congenital defect that led to her having no front legs, but she’s never let that hold her back!

Lil’ Bunny Sue Roux Hendrickson Deak-Akey is the name of the adorable gray-and-white Tabby, but she goes by 'Roux' for short. Roux lives with her loving owner, Jackie Deak-Akey, in New Orleans. Jackie adopted Roux from the animal shelter when she was a kitten, and the two have been together ever since. In early 2015, Jackie started an Instagram account where people could follow along with this brave cat’s story and since then, they’ve amassed over 539,000 followers!

Roux has never let her disability stop her from being a normal cat. She gets around by hopping like a bunny rabbit, and she plays just like any other cat would. Roux loves to try and hunt the fish in the family’s aquarium, and she’s even learned to jump onto furniture without any sort of hassle! Although Roux’ owner may have to get her prosthetic devices somewhere down the line if the stress of hopping begins to cause her pain, for now Roux is happy just as she is. Isn’t that a lesson we all could stand to to learn?
