They Heard Screaming Coming From A Nearby Tree. When They Got Closer, They Realized What The Terrified Thing Was And Immediately Took Action To Save Its Life

 

Can you imagine walking by a tree and hearing screaming coming from it? Well, that's what happened to some people in South Africa. The group was having a picnic at Timbavati Picnic Site Kruger National Park when they heard what sounded like cries or screams coming from a nearby tree. They thought it was an injured bird, but as they approached the tree they realized it was something even more heartbreaking.

It was a tiny baby squirrel, around 2-weeks-old, hanging from a tree. The squirrel was tangled up in a thorny branch and was dangling from the tree. A thorn was stuck in its back and you could tell the squirrel was in a lot of pain and unable to move.

 The group jumped into action to save the tiny animal they named Thorn. After a few attempts, they had to be creative and drive the car right up to the tree so the man could climb on top. Finally, they were able to get him down and take him to an animal clinic to be examined. Check out the video below.
