After a 5-week manhunt, 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas has been FOUND.
Former Tennessee teacher, Tad Cummins, was found in northern California and arrested. Elizabeth Thomas, the girl he kidnapped on March 13, is SAFE according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Just before noon, the TBI tweeted Cummins had been arrested and that more details would come soon.
Siskiyou County Sheriff's Offices spokeswoman Kelly Giordano said Cummins' vehicle was found Wednesday night.
In a remote area near the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, about three hours northwest of Redding, Ca is where Siskiyou County is.
The owner of the property where Cummins and Elizabeth were found said he got a call around 9:30 p.m. and said a man came in looking for work at saloon he owned.
"My neighbor noticed the car didn't have a license plate."
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which has been leading the AMBER Alert search, has announced an upcoming afternoon press conference to give details.
