Buckingham Palace Finally Confirms The News We’ve Been Dying To Know About Prince Philip And It’s Better Than We Ever Expected

May 18, 2018

The Royal Wedding is just hours away and last minute details are giving everyone something to talk about! In the last 24 hours, it’s been confirmed that Thomas Markle will not be attending the wedding, Prince Charles will be walking his future daughter-in-law down the aisle, and that bride will wearing a Ralph & Russo dress!

Just one detail has been keeping everyone at the edge of their seats, but alas, Buckingham Palace has spoken: Prince Philip will be in attendance!

Prince Philip, the Queen’s husband and Harry’s grandfather, was admitted to the hospital and scheduled for a hip replacement just six weeks ago on April 4th. While a hip replacement surgery is taxing on anyone, it was especially taxing on the 96-year-old Duke of Edinburgh.

After spending a couple days in the hospital, Prince Philip was transferred to Windsor Castle where he could rest more comfortably. In the comfort of his own home, Prince Philip spent the last six weeks in recovery and rehabilitation.

His attendance at Harry and Meghan’s wedding has been in question since his surgery and many believed that since he had been seen in public since returning to Windsor, that there was no way he would make it out to the celebration.

But on May 11th, Prince Philip appeared at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. He was cheered for upon arriving and many took his appearance as a sign that he would, in fact, be at the wedding. However, still, no confirmation was made by royal officials.

Just when all hope was lost, Buckingham Palace stepped in with the news that everyone was dying to hear! Prince Philip would be attending his grandson’s wedding!

People everywhere rejoiced knowing that the Duke would be present! We look forward to seeing him on the big day!

Prince Harry and Meghan will wed on May 19th at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle!
