Prince Charles of Wales has one of the most unique destinies in the world. Since the time he was just a little tot, he knew that was not like other children. His mother wasn’t just any regular mum, she was a queen- the Queen.
Born as the first heir to Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles would inevitably take over the throne one day and be crowned King of England.
While it’s certainly intriguing, one can’t help but wonder how Charles had learned to cope with his destiny.
This year, Prince Charles celebrates his 70th birthday. Shockingly enough, he’s not been named King has his mother, Queen Elizabeth, has remained the sovereign for 65 years. Now, his second wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is revealing what Prince Charles thinks about his long-awaited destiny.
In November 2018, BBC presented a documentary marking the heir to the throne’s 70th birthday. The documentary featured the Princes’ most beloved family members sharing fond memories of Prince Charles and revealing the kind of man that he is- the kind of man that is commonly misrepresented in the media.
Camilla Parker Bowles perhaps knows Prince Charles better than anyone. As his second wife, Camilla has been a constant person in Charles’ life nearly most of his 70 years. During the documentary, Camilla raved about how passionate and hard working of a person Charles was. When asked about his destiny to one day become King of England, she responded with a rather surprising answer.
Camilla simply answered, “Charles doesn’t really think about it. He knows it will come but it’s not something that hangs over him.” The interview must have been surprised because he asked, “Well does he talk about it?” To which Camilla confirmed her answer and simply said, “No, not really.”
It sounds like the Prince of Wales has casually accepted his destiny. What do you think about Charles one day being King? Let us know in the comments but remember to keep it clean!
