Deadly Fluid Build-Up That Killed His Brother, Threatens To Take His Life, Too. Your Jaw Will Drop When You See What Happens Next

Two puppies in a litter of Miniature Dachshunds were afflicted with a devastating and heartbreaking condition that caused a massive build-up of fluid in their abdomens.

Unfortunately, one of the siblings died before he could be operated on to relieve the bloating, so it was natural for the surviving pup's owners to be eager to get their loving puppy into surgery as soon as possible.

In the meantime, Banana struggles to do the things an ordinary puppy does with ease. He has a difficult time moving about or even standing up, often resorting to hiding away in his cage and watching the world go by.

The time has come when they can wait no longer. Banana's situation is worsening by the day, and something has to be done - QUICKLY! The Vet places Banana on the operating table and works to calm his anxiety about what is happening to him. Just be patient, Sweetie! You'll thank them later! :-)

First, the ailing animal is given something for the pain, then the abdomen is "tapped" so that the fluid can be withdrawn. Once the maximum amount of fluid that can safely be removed is reached, they hook Banana up to an I.V. and moves him to his "home" for recovery.

Soon, Banana is strong enough to eat solid food. As he partakes of his first post-surgery meal, he looks to have a healthy appetite and seems ecstatic to taste the delicious feast.

At first glance, the patient's abdomen still looks swollen, but it's nowhere near what it was before. Time to see if his reduced girth has improved his ability to get around.

The owner opens Banana's cage and invites the pup to come out. The recovering fellow struggles to get up but, once he does, he hesitates to cross the threshold of his humble abode. Someone finally has to help him to freedom.

Exhausted after his brief foray into the scary outside world, he returns to the comfort of his blankets, this time having no trouble getting over the lip of the cage's opening.

Banana's recovery from the cruel condition has been slow but steady, but now his lively and playful personality finally as a chance to shine.

After a difficult and sad beginning, this precious pup is now slim, trim, and ready to take on the world!

And just look at that happy face! There's nothing better than to see a living creature being snatched from the jaws of death, and go on to have a joyous, enriched life!
