It’s a tragic time for the soap opera family.
The brilliantly talented actress, Denise DuBarry Hay, took her final breath surrounded by friends and family over the weekend. The details of her passing are tragic, to say the least.
Hays was at the UCLA Medical Center being treated for a very rare and serious fungus. Unfortunately, the fungus overtook her body and ultimately took her life. It has yet to be confirmed just what kind of fungus this was.
The 63-year-old had recently celebrated a birthday, and her family was at a complete loss for her sudden illness.
Hays was best known for her roles in CHiPS, Black Sheep Squadron, The Love Boat, Days of Our Lives, and Charlie’s Angels. She also starred in several feature films including Being There, Do It Or Die, and Walk To Vegas.
Many of her colleagues spoke of her as being a very kind-hearted and brilliant businesswoman and talent. One close friend stated, “She was ahead of her time in terms of women supporting women. She was an entrepreneur and she was kind to everyone.”
Another friend stated, “She always had a huge heart and soul, but she also had a really keen business sense. She was just brilliant and she could see future business ideas long before anyone else could. She just had the ability to create things.”
Please keep her friends and family in your prayers during this heartbreaking time of their lives.
