On May 19th, 2018, Meghan Markle made the transition from Hollywood superstar to Royal Duchess. Since her Royal wedding vows, Meghan has stunned the world with her seemingly flawless transition into Royalty.
Prior to meeting Harry, Meghan was a successful actress on televisions top show, Suits. She also worked on movies and managed a blog in which she shared her love of travel, food, and fashion with her fans.
Once her and Harry decided that their relationship was going to last, Meghan had to make some major changes; she had to stop working on Suits, she had to stop making appearances on talk shows and movies, and she had to take down her beloved blog.
After nearly a year of long-distance with Prince Harry in London and Meghan in Toronto, Canada, Meghan made the official move to London where she and Harry moved into Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.
In the fast six months leading up to her wedding, Meghan was appointed Royal adviser Samantha Cohen. The Queen requested that Samantha teach Meghan the Royal ways and even though Samantha had given her notice to retire, the Queen begged that stay to help with Meghan’s transition.
With Samantha’s help and Meghan’s already incredible “on-camera” skills, the transition has been smooth; Meghan’s pre-marriage messy bun hasn’t made a comeback since the wedding day, and her fashion has been noted as classy, elegant, and modern- all while being in line with proper Royal protocol.
On the newly minted Duke and Duchess’ debut tour to Ireland, Meghan had major nostalgia when she was asked to sign her name while meeting the President of Ireland. While Meghan had given her autograph numerous times to loving fans when she was a television star, it’s a known Royal no-no to sign autographs.
Meghan stepped up to the President’s guest book and signed her name with her a smile. Cameras got a sneak peak of her signature, and now fans are totally shocked! Meghan’s penmanship is absolutely perfect and as Royal as could be! After all, we shouldn’t be too surprised, Meghan worked as a calligrapher in her the early days of her acting career to help pay the bills!
