One of television’s most talked about families is back in the news once again, and this time, it’s for a reason no one saw coming.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are the stars responsible for the whole brood on 19 Kids and Counting. The show aired from 2008 to 2015 and documented the daily lives of a family of nineteen children and their parents.
Considering the sheer volume of humans in this family, it’s easy to see how it became such a wildly popular show for seven years. During that time, fans had the opportunity to watch the children grow up, get married, and begin to start families of their very own.
One thing that seemed to intrigue many is the order that Jim Bob and Michelle kept in the house. The sheer volume of food and laundry needed for 21 people was daunting to even think about, much less to experience!
Now, Jim Bob and Michelle recently made another grand announcement that has garnered internet-wide attention. The couple has decided it’s time to sell one of their properties.
The 1969 historic 10,000 square-foot home with four bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a three-and-a-half-car garage and is located on 2.73 acres in Springdale, Arkansas.
They originally purchased the then-rundown house for $230,000 and have invested a great deal of money to restore and modernize it. Now, it’s on the market for $1.8 million and their hard work has definitely shown through all they’ve done to restore the estate.
Jim Bob’s mother was a real estate agent and Jim Bob has always had an interest in this. Over the years, he and Michelle have purchased and flipped several different homes long before they ever saw the television stardom they do now, with this property being no exception.
A representative of the family elaborated: “They’ve always looked for opportunities where they could improve something. They just like flipping houses. They like the construction business, the remodel, and seeing something go from bad to good - from unused to being attractive for others.”
What do you think about this home?
