On January 5, 2019, a Texas mother named Emily Wade told her family that she would be going for pizza and a movie with a co-worker. Little did they know that this would be the last time they would see her.
The Ennis Police Department received word that the 38-year-old had gone missing when her mother, Shirley, contacted them after she failed to return home. “I don’t think she ran off, I would bet my life on that,” Shirley told sources.
Wade is said to be extremely close to her mother and her 7-year-old daughter, so for her to abruptly disappear is very out of character and suspicious. Shirley stated that she thought nothing of it when her daughter told her of her plans to go out with a co-worker that day.
She began to grow worried when Wade failed to come home that night. As a mother would, she tried to put aside her nervous worries and went to bed. The following day, she went to check in on her and Wade was still nowhere to be found.
“It’s not like Emily to disappear or be apart from her mother and her daughter. If she was able to crawl to me and her daughter, she would,” Shirley told sources. The Ennis Police Department is currently hot on the case and is busy investigating anyone who was close with Wade.
They have yet to gain any solid leads but are doing everything in their power to find her and bring her home safely. Wade is said to be 5 feet 6 inches with blonde hair. She weighs 140 pounds. Her vehicle is a silver 2012 Nissan Altima with a split in the bumper and Kentucky license plates. She was last seen wearing a peach sweater, matching Nikes, and jeans.
If you or anyone you know has any leads to Wade, you are urged to immediately contact the Ennis Police Department at 972.875.4462.
