Blogger and YouTuber John from Preppy Kitchen created a quick and easy tutorial on how to make these delightfully delicious Christmas desserts. The rich chocolate cupcake base topped with flavorful “snow” icing is enough to make anyone instantly salivate. Top that with a vibrant green snow-laden Christmas tree and you’ve got a seriously delish holiday masterpiece!

For the frosting and trees:
12 sugar cones
2 lbs. confectioners’ sugar plus extra for dusting
2 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
½ c. milk
20 drops green food coloring
For the cupcakes:
2 sticks unsalted butter
2 ½ c. all-purpose flour
¾ c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
½ c. milk
½ c. sour cream
1 ½ c. sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. espresso powder
