As you undoubtedly know by now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - aka Harry and Meghan - have been enjoying a whirlwind tour of some the most exotic locations ‘Down Under.’
Between Australia and the Invictus Games, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand, the newlyweds have spent countless jam-packed days full of traditional ceremonies, unforgettable athletic competitions, and meeting and greeting the public.
During their 16 days visiting these beautiful Commonwealth nations, Harry and Meghan have created endless memories for not only themselves but also the grateful inhabitants who have either seen the dynamic duo or felt the results of their having been there.
All throughout their many stops, the media has had a field day either loving or raising eyebrows at what the Duchess has chosen to wear.
Very cognizant of the fact that Prince Harry’s bride is expecting a baby, and that choosing both stylish and practical garb for the many diverse venues the couple would be visiting, there have still been some less-than-charitable remarks about some of her ensembles.
And they pulled no punches when it was discovered that Meghan had neglected to remove a tag from a gorgeous red dress - unfortunately, in plain view as she descended the stairs of the royal aircraft.
Now, as the trip winds down to its last few days, the couple looks relaxed and at ease with their duties and are continuing to bring their charm and finesse to the remaining audiences who have crowded to catch a glimpse of them.
On Monday, their agenda took them to Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand, a bastion of local conservation programs that the Sussexes were delighted to learn about.
“Upon arriving on Monday at the park, which is famed for its golden beaches and sits at the northeastern tip of New Zealand’s South Island, the couple were greeted by a traditional welcome ceremony.”
Upon his and Meghan’s arrival, Prince Harry extended a personal greeting to the people of the island. And in the brief message, the father-to-be managed to give a glimpse into his newly expanding family, even sharing with the people his nickname for his son or daughter.
“From myself, my wife and our little bump, we are so grateful to be here. We bring blessings from my grandmother the Queen and our family. We are so grateful for your hospitality and the work to look after this beautiful place.” Our Little Bump - could that be any more adorable???
I don’t know about you but it looks to me as if Prince Harry has completely embraced his future and is already in love with his little Prince or Princess who is expected to make an arrival in the Spring of 2019.
We look forward to watching the loving couple as they wind up their trip later this week and hope for a few more glimpses at not only their love story but also their thoughts on what’s to come in a few short months.
We wish them a safe and joy-filled last few days of their trip and look forward to their return to England very soon.
