Itching To Get Your Hands On An Invite To The Royal Wedding? Here’s How This Dream Could Come True For You

March 15, 2018

The world stands in anxious anticipation for the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It seems as though May 19th can’t get here quickly enough! Prince Harry was known to be a happy-go-lucky bachelor and didn’t appear as having any intentions of settling down with someone.

Lo and behold the American actress, Markle, completely swept him off his feet and his world hasn’t been the same since! Their love story is like one out of a modern-day fairytale book. An actress meets her real-life Prince Charming and will soon become a member of a royal family.

Whether they’d like to admit it or not, everyone loves a good love story, and this is one for the books. This will be one of the most iconic days in history as the nations gather around their television sets to witness the spectacular moment.

While some are content watching the occasion from the comfort of their home, others yearn for the opportunity to see the event firsthand. For a wedding of this magnitude, invitations aren’t given to just anyone, and many have to meet a certain standard to earn attendance.

According to sources, it has been confirmed that 100 children from local schools will be invited to be on the grounds of the castle. 200 additional guests will be individuals from Harry’s charities, 530 Royal Household staff members, and 600 people from the Windsor Castle community.

There still are 1,200 spots for nominated individuals from around the United Kingdom. Being nominated for this isn’t easy to come by, though. This decision will be made from nine of the regional Lord Lieutenants. According to these Lieutenants, this is how they decide:

“In deciding who to nominate, they have been asked to give consideration to include people from a broad range of backgrounds and ages, including young people who have shown strong leadership, and those who have served their communities, but otherwise have left it to them.”

This doesn’t make attaining an invite a lot easier, but at least we now know what it takes to get our name on the list! Would you want to be present for this event?
