38-year-old Jaime King is best known for her work on Hart Of Dixie, but it seems even that fame can’t save her or her family from a potentially random act of violence! Jaime King, one of her close friends, and Jaime’s four-year-old son, James Knight, were parked along a curb in Beverly Hills, California, when a man jumped onto the vehicle and broke the back window.
The back window shattered, sending shards of glass onto James as he sat in his car seat. Jaime’s friend, whose identity is not being revealed, then left the car to confront the attacker. 47-year-old Paul Francis Floyd then threw a can at her, hitting her in the arm.
Beverly Hills Police arrived swiftly, arresting him for felony child endangerment, misdemeanor battery, and two counts of felony vandalism. According to witnesses, Floyd had previously attacked another vehicle, kicking a male’s car and damaging int. He had been “kicking and jumping on vehicles” and was reported to have been on a skateboard prior to the attack.
Floyd is now being held on $100,000 bail and will appear before court on April 6. There is no word on whether or not James suffered any injuries from the attack, but we are certainly glad that his 32-month-old brother, Leo Thames, was not in the vehicle at the time.
Please keep the victims in your prayers! Hopefully, James will not suffer any lasting problems as a result of the accident. Unfortunately, the incident was surely frightening so we hope that he doesn’t have to deal with any nightmares!
This is a horrible story, and we know that sometimes we need a reminder of the good in the world at a time like this, so be sure to check out the video below!
