It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for and it has finally arrived, and it was just as splendid as we had hoped. It’s been long five months, but now we can enjoy the very thing we have missed so much. That’s right. It’s the first day of Duchess Kate’s return from maternity leave.
Ever since the birth of little Prince Louis in April, we haven’t seen much of our favorite Royal and we are more than ready to have her back on the scene!
Yes, it's true, we caught a couple of unofficial glimpses of the beautiful mum of three: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May, the Trooping the Colour in June, and Wimbledon in July (plus a couple of outings, here and there, with her little darlings.)
But, I have to admit - and I'm sure you'll agree, - it wasn’t nearly enough. Now, we have her back and, with any luck, it will be a long while before she disappears again.
On Tuesday, Kate appeared at The Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden to rub elbows with children during an informal outing. People tells us, “The royal mom returned to her royal duties on Tuesday when she visited a school in London.
"Kate, 36, took a short two-mile drive from her home at Kensington Palace to a recreation ground in Paddington, London, to spend time with local school children and learn how getting their hands dirty in a wildlife garden and outdoor learning helps with their wellbeing.”
With a huge smile on her face, as though she couldn’t contain her excitement at being back in the company of her favorite subjects, the Duchess wowed the crowd with a new perky hairstyle - her locks now several inches shorter than when she gave birth on April 23rd.
Her chosen ensemble for the fun day with the kids was not typical of her signature high fashion style, but it was right on the mark for the occasion and she looked comfortable and ready to take on the day as she walked around in an olive green jacket and knee-high boots.
According to People, “Kate dressed casually for the outdoor event in an olive green sweater over a printed silk Joseph blouse and matching jacket by the Swedish brand Fjällräven, light brown biker skinny jeans from Zara and her trusty tassel boots, her go-tos for the last 14 years.”
All in all, it looks as though Kate had a marvelous day as she spoke informally with the children and listened to teachers speak about how outdoor activities help the mental and emotional health of little ones.
"The Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden, at Paddington Recreation Ground, aims to involve children and the local community in the environment and provide outdoor activity facilities for those who otherwise wouldn’t get to experience them."
Please join us in celebrating the Duchess of Cambridge’s long-awaited return. We can hardly wait to see where she pops up next!
