Just when we think the Duchess of Cambridge can’t get any more spectacular, she proves us wrong time and time again!
Every time we have the opportunity to see Kate Middleton in all her royal glory, she never ceases to amaze. Her impeccable style, dazzling smile, and undeniable charm and elegance are just a few of the reasons why people love her so very much.
Recently, we had the rare opportunity to see Kate wearing one of the royal tiaras and she certainly did not disappoint. On June 3, Kate, along with other prominent members of the British Royal Family attended the annual state dinner.
It was during this event that she showcased a seriously huge honor she had received from Queen Elizabeth back in April, and many had forgotten she’d been bestowed this grand title.
Sources state that “Queen Elizabeth appointed the Duchess of Cambridge a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO), the highest rank in a form of chivalry personally granted by the sovereign to recognize one’s service.”
This grand honor was one “originally established by Queen Victoria in 1896 to personally thank and honor people who had helped her directly, or represented her across the empire.” Kate joined the ranks of honorees in the family such as Prince Philip, Duchess Camilla, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
The way one displays their grand honor is by wearing a vibrant blue sash across their torso. It was clear that Kate had chosen a simple yet elegant dress in which to properly debut her new honor with pride.
This certainly comes as no shock to know that Duchess Kate was given such a prestigious honor. She is one of the royals who is certainly deserving of it, that’s for sure!
