Even though Kate Middleton is one of the most highly esteemed royals on the planet, at the end of the day, she still wears the mom hat.
People young an old have oohed and aahed over Kate long before she ever officially became the Duchess of Cambridge. Once she was “officially royal,” her popularity only continued to skyrocket.
Over the past few years, she and Prince William have welcomed three beautiful little children into the world: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Having children can be an eye-opening experience in more ways than one, and that continues to be the case the older the kids become. Kate recently learned this the hard - yet quite comical - way.
On February 27, William and Kate took off for a brief two-day tour of Northern Ireland. On the first day, they spent some time over at Windsor Park Stadium in Belfast where they got to know the Irish Football Association a little better.
While there, they also got to show off a bit of their athletic skills. While speaking with a group of young female athletes, Kate couldn’t help but revert back to mom-mode for a moment to tell an adorably hilarious story about her eldest son, George.
While playing football, she told the group that her five-year-old was getting acquainted with the sport and seemed to be loving it. As any good mother would, she has been practicing with him. Unfortunately, her skills didn’t quite measure up in his eyes.
That’s when he hit her with the cold, hard truth. He looked to her and said, “Mummy, you’re so rubbish.”
That’s likely one of the last things she ever expected her little one to hear but we all know too well that children will say anything and everything that is on their little minds!
When William heard her telling the tale, he chimed in to poke more fun at her by saying, “Look out! She goes for the ankles!”
While she may not be on her way to becoming a football star anytime soon, she at least knows one good way to make her kids and hubby laugh!
