One of television’s beloved stars was recently found deceased, and the entire acting community is mourning her untimely passing.
Lisa Sheridan was confirmed dead in her home in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 25th. Her manager, Mitch Clem, broke the news to the media:
“She was at home in New Orleans. Obviously, we were all blindsided with this devastating loss. Lisa was deeply loved. We are heartbroken and enormously saddened. Cause of death is not known at this time. We are waiting for the coroner’s report.”
He knew that since she did pass at such a young age, people would immediately jump to conclusions and assume it was suicide. He set the record straight from the start.
He continued: “The family has unequivocally confirmed that this is not a suicide. Any suggestion to the contrary is absolutely, 100 percent unfounded.”
The 44-year-old was best known for her roles in Halt and Catch Fire, CSI: NY, The Mentalist, The 4400, Without a Trace, and Diagnosis: Murder.
One of her beloved friends and co-stars, Donna D’Errico, took to Twitter to publicly voice her condolences over the untimely loss of her friend.
“I just received news that my dear friend, Lisa Sheridan, has passed away. She was found Monday morning. I am sitting here stunned. Lisa and I filmed a movie together 5 years ago and became very close on set and remained close friends after filming ended. It’s so rare to find kind, gentle souls like hers in this industry, this city, this world.”
She continued: “Truly one of the most genuinely sweet and gentle people I’ve ever come across in my life. She brought a sweetness and bright energy to any room she happened to walk into...even in her darker times. I am devastated by this loss.”
She finished her post by saying: “I had just spoken with her and everything seemed great and she seemed happy and in good spirits. Everyone who knew her loved and adored her. Goodbye and goodnight sweet angel...I will miss you terribly. Please send up prayers for this family.”
This is certainly something that no one could have ever seen coming. Please keep her friends and family in your prayers as they navigate the devastation and heartache of losing someone so very dear.
