The tragic moment of a 29-year-old woman’s murder has been caught on camera and shared publicly online.
On January 25th, 2019, Elizabeth 'Liz' Barraza, 29, was outside her Tomball, Texas, home when a black pickup truck parked across the street. Liz likely did not have any suspicions as she was setting up for an early morning garage sale in her driveway.
Two weeks after the fatal exchange, neighboring surveillance footage has revealed the tragic moment. The Daily Mail has published the video warning their audience that the footage is graphic and truly terrifying. Click on the link to see the footage.
In this footage, the suspect stepped out of the vehicle and began walking toward Liz. Wearing what looked to be a bathrobe, the suspect approached Liz who immediately walked backward. The interaction between the two individuals ended quickly as the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Liz three times.
After Liz fell to the ground, the suspect stood over her and shot her one more time before running back to the vehicle and driving away. Liz’s neighbors called 911 after they heard the gunshots, and Liz was rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, she died from sustained injuries on January 26th.
The moment was quick - no more than 10 seconds. During that 10 seconds, though, multiple lives were changed forever. Liz’s father, Bob Nuelle, addressed the public after losing his daughter. He tearfully said, “A coward drove up, approached my daughter, and forever changed our lives. An unknown assailant shot and killed an unarmed and defenseless woman in a brutal act that demands justice.”
Following Bob’s comment, Liz’s husband, Sergio, took a moment to share his grief. In difficult sadness, he announced that Liz was hosting a garage sale in hopes of earning some extra money for their fifth-anniversary trip that they were scheduled to take on January 27th. He said, “How someone could be so monstrous to commit an act like this, I just really can't understand. I had to trade our fifth anniversary for a funeral.”
As of February 7th, 2019, the shooter has yet to be identified. Please pray the police find the shooter and justice is served. We are praying for Liz’s family and we hope they are feeling the peace of God.
