Meghan Markle has certainly seen her fair share of publicity in the recent year. Since the news broke that she and Prince Harry were an item, the world instantly fell in love with her.
Now that she’s a Duchess, she’s loved a hundred times more. Her beauty, elegance, and class have become more and more apparent with each passing day, giving us many reasons to admire her more than ever before.
Amid the praise and admiration, she’s gained from millions young and old, she’s managed to get some negative attention as well.
Unfortunately, it all has stemmed from the people she should have been able to trust the most: her family.
Since the drama surrounding her wedding took over the news, she has reportedly ceased communications with her father, Thomas Markle. He’s seen his fair share of attention since her skyrocket to success and it hasn’t all been sunshine and roses coming from him.
According to sources, he’s severed his relationship with Meghan so much so that “she’s now terrified to talk to him out of fear that he’ll leak their conversation to the media.” Talk about some serious distrust!
The source continues: “Meghan is so upset over Thomas. She’s upset for a couple of reasons. She doesn’t even know how to communicate with her dad without knowing he won’t exploit her.”
“She lives in fear that he’ll leak their communication. If he’s spoken this much already, why wouldn’t he leak their conversation?” they questioned.
This is certainly not how the Duchess ever wished her relationship with her own father would turn out to be, but it’s, sadly, the cards she’s been dealt. As any good daughter would, she does long to repair that connection but isn’t hopeful about it.
“She would like to speak to him, but there is no trust there anymore and it doesn’t seem like it could ever be rebuilt. The damage is done,” a source stated.
Her mother, Doria Ragland, has seemed to draw closer to her daughter since her transition to royalty. Unlike Thomas, Doria has kept a tight lip on any information concerning Meghan and is doing everything in her power to protect her daughter.
This is how a family should be, don’t you agree?
