After nearly a week, Royal fans are celebrating at the reveal of the official photographs from Prince Louis’ christening. The photo, taken by Matt Holyoak on July 9th at the Chapel Royal at St. James’ Palace, surfaced the internet and instantly went viral.
Dressed in the traditional christening robe, Prince Louis lay peacefully in his mother’s arms. William and Kate had their two older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on each side of the Louis. Together in photographs for the first time, the Cambridge family of five looked absolutely gorgeous.
Several photos were taken of the picture-perfect family along with their immediate relatives. While the Queen and Prince Philip were absent from the christening, the newest royal couple- the Duke and Duchess of Sussex- made their first family christening debut.
Prince Harry and Meghan stood alongside the proud grandparents- Charles and Camilla. This was the first time the Meghan appeared in official photographs with Prince Louis. The two entered the Royal Family just three weeks apart from each other.
The photos were taken at Clarence House- the current residence of Prince Charles and Camilla. William and Kate celebrated the christening at Clarence House with family and Prince Louis’ god-parents. To celebrate, the couple shared cake from the wedding day in April 2011.
For much of the celebration after the christening the photographs, Prince Louis slept peacefully in his mother’s arms. Kate looked as radiant and royal as ever she held her third child with pure awe and wonder.
