Packing 100 Items In A Carry-On Suitcase Is Possible If You Know These 3 Tricks

January 04, 2018

When a trip is planned, excitement runs through your veins. You begin to map out all the stops, eats, and hotels you plan on visiting. Every single time you think about it, a smile breaks across your face. As the days draw nearer, a single thought crosses your mind, causing your smile to quickly vanish: It’s time to pack.

I don’t know about you but my least favorite task is packing a suitcase. I try to be as organized as humanly possible in my methods but somehow it takes me an absurd amount of time to get all my belongings gathered. I lay things out in organized piles of tops, bottoms, undergarments, and toiletries.

Once I have them all gathered, I try to squeeze them into my suitcase. This is when the frustration builds even more. No matter how large my suitcase may be, I never can seem to fit everything inside.

With as many people that travel around the world each and every day, I knew that someone had to have some advice on this conundrum I continually have. Recently, I came across this video and it changed everything! Rachel Grant created a step-by-step tutorial on how to efficiently pack a small carry-on. The most impressive part? She packs 100 items perfectly inside the tiny piece of luggage!

She begins by organizing her items neatly across the room (at least I had that step right!). She then has three special items that help her accomplish this: rubber bands, packing cubes, and Ziploc bags. The rest is pure magic, I’m just sure of it. Check out the video, below, to see just how she performs this magnificent feat. I’ll be doing this on my next trip - no ifs, ands, or buts about it!

Isn’t this incredible? I can't wait to try it! How about you??
