Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs Has Never Been Easier Thanks To This Nifty Trick

January 25, 2018

Eggs are the perfect addition to any meal. They are extremely versatile and can be eaten in numerous ways: scrambled, sunny side up, over easy, or just hard-boiled. Any way you spin it, they’re chocked-full of scrumptious nutrients.

If you’ve ever hard-boiled eggs for an egg salad or for deviled eggs, you know how tricky it can be to peel off the shells. It’s a finicky process where, no matter how hard you try, you find yourself tediously picking off small pieces of shell in order to get to the “good stuff.”

We’ve come across a tip that will cut your peeling time down drastically! It’s quick, simple, and requires no additional tools in the kitchen. All you will need to do is boil your eggs in water for the allotted amount of time. Once thoroughly cooked, rinse and fill the pot with enough cold water to just cover the eggs.

Cover with a lid. While holding the lid on tightly with one hand, shake the pot. This allows the eggs to beat against the pot and against each other, causing the shells to become broken. Within a matter of seconds, it’s as if your eggs are peeling themselves. Talk about easy! Check out the video, below, to see just how magical this kitchen hack truly is!
