With so much talk about the Royal Family lately, it’s almost impossible not to miss the beloved Princess Diana. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss the cherished princess, and we know that we’re not alone in our longing.
In recent months, Princess Diana’s two sons have experienced major life-changing events; Prince William welcomed his third child with Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry married the love of his life, Meghan Markle.
There’s no doubt that Princess Di would have been massive fans of her son’s wives. In the engagement interview, Prince Harry and Meghan did shortly after announcing their news; Prince Harry admitted that his mother and Meghan would have been “thick as thieves.” The sentiment was bittersweet.
But while we miss the Princess, we are grateful to be able to watch and celebrate the lives of her sons. The two have gone from sons to wives and princes to dukes before our very eyes and watching their lives unfold is indeed like watching a fairytale.
During one of the most iconic moments of the royal family, the Trooping the Colour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge- along with their children- the Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked positively beautiful. The beloved royals stood proudly on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as they smiled and waved to their fans.
During the appearance, the Duke of Cambridge stood by behind his son, Prince George. Prince George stood next to his playful cousin, Savannah Phillips. Savannah is the granddaughter of Princess Anne and daughter of the Queen’s oldest son, Prince Peter and Autumn Phillips. During the event, the two little royals had some fun when singing “God Save the Queen.”
As Savannah pretended to be the anthem orchestrator, little George laughed along at his cousin’s antics. When he thought he’d give it a go at his being the orchestrator, Savannah let him know that that wouldn’t fly. She hysterically placed her hand over his mouth and stopped him from singing and dancing. This hilarious picture was captured during the cousin antics, and it’s just too good!
But shockingly enough, only hours after it surfaced, this rare and 28-year-old photo appeared in comparison. The shocking photo was of Princess Diana at Trooping the Colour 1990! While the pictures are amazing, it’s shock- factor isn’t because of Princess Di, but rather Prince Harry!
Directly below Princess Di stands a six-year-old Prince Harry who just happens to be covering the mouth of one of his own cousins during “God Save the Queen.” The photo was totally crazy, and even a little bit unnerving! What do you think about this crazy phenomenon? Let us know on Facebook!
