It has only been a couple of days since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their son into the world. May 6, 2019, will forever be a day burned in the minds of all the devout royal followers and fans because it’s the day that history was made.
There is nothing more exciting for any family than the day that a child is born. Something inside of you changes for the better as you see the world through a whole new perspective. Two days following the birth of Archie Harrison, the beaming mother and father couldn’t have looked more thrilled and proud of him.
When they introduced him to the world on May 9, Papa Harry couldn’t stop smiling and Mama Meghan couldn’t take her eyes off of her little bundle of joy. As we all know, things work a little bit differently for the royal family in many aspects.
For one, there is a hierarchy for who should meet the newborn child. As you would assume, Queen Elizabeth is ranking right there on the top. In the images captured from their first meeting, it was quite apparent that the Queen was just as smitten as anyone else when she got to see her great-grandchild for the first time.
While we’ve yet to hear word on whether or not William and Kate have met their new nephew, they did take a moment and speak with news outlets on how thrilled they are for Harry and Meghan. They cannot wait to see Archie and let their little ones meet their teeny cousin for the first time as well.
One other family member broke her silence following the birth and it was very evident just how happy she, too, was for the both of them. Princess Eugenie is Harry’s first cousin and they have always maintained a very strong friendship. It was no surprise to many when she voiced her love and excitement for little Archie.
She took to her social media account to congratulate the happy couple on their precious addition. She reposted an image of Harry and Meghan that was taken the day they introduced Archie to the world. Below it, she stated: “I’m just so happy for you!” followed by a heart emoji.
Though it seems like something small, it was a huge gesture from the Princess. Not long after posting the congratulatory image, she, too, began to receive a flood of praise for her sweet, endearing words for the Sussex family.
This just goes to show that no matter what drama or gossip is spread throughout the media, at the end of the day the royal family always has one another’s backs no matter what and is always cheering the other on.
Welcome to the world little Archie!
